So, we haven't been to the grocery store in almost 2 weeks. Taking the two kids to the store seems a little more challenging than enjoyable, and we've chosen to spend our few hours of free time during naps, after bedtime, and btw feedings on other things like watching 4 hours of "24" (what a long, long wait it has been), or sleeping. Don't worry about our nutrition though, because lovely, generous people we know have been bringing us dinners and we've had enough food stocked up to manage just fine. However, we ran out of juice five or six days ago...and, Jack asks for juice around 800 times a day. We've told him the truth, that we're out of juice and we'll get more when we go to the store. He's heard this answer frequently over the past few days.
So, tonight, he picked up Jim's cell phone and we overheard him talking on it:
Jack: Juice, please.
Jim: Who are you talking to, Jack?
Jack: The Store
Trust the little guy to go straight to the source when his parents are holding out on him...
Maybe we'll get there tomorrow...
