A picture of our house from the front.
Our first snow...SEPT 16!! Only in the mountains, though. These are shots from our front yard. They don't do the beauty justice, but I'm going to get better shots with my other camera. Hope everyone is in the mood for skiing this year!

O.K...so I went back out front and took a few more zoomed in a bit. I realize that the telephone pole in the dead center of the pic isn't going to win me any awards, but when you are looking at the mountain in real life you don't even notice that it is there. Just another reason to come and visit and see for yourself!

Wow, extra cash just for having fun. Time to enable comment moderation.
You won't be able to catch us on Skype much b/c we only have internet in my office, and you are 7 or 8 hours behind. So the window of opportunity is small. Best thing is to set up a time.
We were at the Frankfurt natural history museum yesterday, and they have a replica of an enormous--truly gigantic--dinosaur leg. It's about 30 feet tall. But the original is in Provo, Utah!
You are right that Germany does not have anything even remotely approaching a fried egg on a hamburger (although note that the Germans invented the hamburger). Which is a crying shame. Portions are very small here; very un-American. Lots of things here are un-American! I just don't get it.
You can email me at powell at jhu dot edu. Hope you're enjoying your house! Feels fantastic, doesn't it?
Matt
so where is OUR bedroom?
And Bryant wants to know where he is sleeping?
Looks good, don't let Kristen inhale those paint fumes. Be like our former President!
