Jack and Thomas held the first of many joint parties to come (we hope). This year was a festival of candy, that is, a chance for each guest to decorate their own gingerbread house and a chance for Jim to revisit a long held Powell family tradition of Christmas Gingerbread House construction. Lots of fun reminiscing about Mr. Mike (Jim's Dad) in the midst of Jim's very specific guidelines for what particular candies should be on the table. I believe the quote was something like, "If you don't buy Necco Wafers, you'll be dishonoring my Father's memory."
